Welcome to my website.
I am an Associate Professor of Applied Economics in the Department of Economics at Memorial University, with cross-appointment in the Faculty of Education. In addition, I am a Senior Research Analyst in the Social Analysis and Modelling Division at Statistics Canada; Research Fellow of the Retirement and Savings Institute at HEC Montréal; and Board Member of the Canadian Labour Economics Forum.
I am an empirical micro-economist with research interests in public, labour, behavioural and education economics. I have written on numerous topics such as pensions, labour supply, gender inequality, returns to education, and the COVID-19 pandemic. My research has been published in national and international journals including Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Labor Economics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, National Tax Journal, Canadian Journal of Economics, and Canadian Public Policy/Analyse de politiques.
I received my B.A. from Brock University, M.A. from the University of British Columbia, and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto.
